I am currently involved in the following major projects:

1. To increase our knowledge on the taxonomy and biodiversity of the Beach Fly family Canacidae.

2. To study the faunal composition of the populations of Beach Flies inhabiting the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean subregion.

3. To increase our knowledge on the subfamily Apetaeninae (Diptera: Canacidae).

4. To study the inland populations of Canacidae, especially those from eremic habitats.
